Madonna di Campiglio | Dolomiti di Brenta VIP Ski

May 26, 2026 · 6 min read · FFGR Italia VIP Team

Madonna di Campiglio is Italy's most exclusive ski resort by quality-to-capacity ratio: no towers, no mass-market infrastructure, just the Carlo Magno hotel (1930), the FIS 3-Tre slalom circuit, and the Dolomieu Michelin table. FFGR Italia manages helicopter transfers from MXP, private ski instruction with ex-national team coaches, and 3-Tre race-week access packages.

Madonna di Campiglio | Italy's Elite Ski Address

Madonna di Campiglio (1,522m, Trentino-Alto Adige) is the most exclusive ski resort in Italy by accommodation quality-to-capacity ratio. The village has no large-scale developments, the historic Carlo Magno hotel dominates the accommodation mix. The skiing domain: Skiarea Campiglio Dolomiti di Brenta, 150km of runs across 3 interconnected areas (Campiglio, Folgarida-Marilleva, Daolasa), linking to the Skirama Dolomiti circuit (383km total).

FFGR Italia transfers from Milan Malpensa (MXP, 2h30), Verona (VRN, 1h40), or Innsbruck (INN, 2h10). Private helicopter from MXP to the Campiglio helipad takes 35 minutes. The Trento municipal heliport serves as an alternative touchdown point with ground transfer to Campiglio in 55 minutes.

Carlo Magno Hotel | 1930 Alpine Heritage

The Hotel Carlo Magno (Piazzale Carlo Magno 1) has been the resort's address of reference since 1930, named after Charlemagne's legendary pass through the valley. The hotel's historical registers include visits by European royalty throughout the 20th century. 75 rooms and suites, indoor pool with Dolomites view, wellness centre, and ski school coordination for private Olympic-level instruction.

The Carlo Magno's garage accommodates FFGR fleet vehicles directly. The hotel restaurant (La Stube) offers a private dining format for groups up to 20: carved wood Tyrolean interior, Trentino wine programme, five-course tasting menu on request.

The 3-Tre FIS Slalom | Racing Heritage Since 1967

The 3-Tre (Tre Tre) is the annual World Cup slalom held on the Canalone Miramonti run at Madonna di Campiglio. Part of the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup circuit since 1967, it is one of only four night slaloms in World Cup racing. The course drops 200 vertical metres in 57 gates: the Canalone's narrow, shaded terrain makes it among the most technically demanding slaloms on tour.

FFGR Italia provides race-week access packages: reserved VIP spectator positions above gate 30 (the most technical section), post-race dinner at Ristorante bio.logico (Malga Brenta Alta, 1h snowcat from village), and meetings with the Italian Ski Federation team at the Carlo Magno. Race-week packages are limited, we accept briefs from July.

Alta Badia Gastronomy at Altitude

The Dolomiti di Brenta skiing area connects via Skirama to Alta Badia: home to some of the highest-altitude Michelin-starred dining in the Alps. Rifugio Lavarella (1,987m) serves Ladin cuisine, canederli, venison, local Müller-Thurgau wines, with panoramic Dolomites views. FFGR arranges snowmobile transfer from the main piste network to Lavarella for private lunches.

Within Campiglio: Ristorante Dolomieu at Hotel DV Chalet (1 Michelin star, chef Nicola Laera). Menu highlights include Trentino deer with juniper ash and the local Nosiola wine pairing (a rare white from the Sarche valley). Dinner reservations arranged 3-4 weeks in advance for peak season.

The FFGR Campiglio Mandate | 4 Nights

A standard FFGR Madonna di Campiglio mandate (4 nights): arrival MXP by Rolls-Royce Ghost or helicopter, check-in Carlo Magno, private ski instructor (ex-Italian national team, daily 09:00-13:00), afternoon thermal spa at Terme di Comano (40 min, sulphurous thermal waters recommended by dermatologists since 1870), dinner at Dolomieu (Day 2) and La Stube private room (Day 4), morning departure by helicopter to MXP Malpensa Prime.

Extension option: Merano 2000 day trip (1h40 from Campiglio, South Tyrol wine circuit, Castel Trauttmansdorff gardens). Off-season: the Dolomiti di Brenta cycling tracks open June-October; the same FFGR driver network operates year-round for summer mandates.
